Medication-Assisted Treatment is the use of medications to treat substance use disorders.
When medications may be indicated for client treatment, our therapists will assist clients to be seen by our medical staff, which includes psychiatrist, physicians, advance practice nurses with a specialty in psychiatry. A member of our medical staff can evaluate the client’s particular needs and, if appropriate, prescribe a medication. Follow up medication management will be scheduled as appropriate with your medical provider. Coordination of care with a client’s primary care professional will be done with the written consent by an adult client or the parent / guardian of a child.
