In October 2020, Lavana J. Kindle retired from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, where she taught and worked for 13 years. At that time, she began working as a therapist part-time at South Arkansas Regional Health Center here in Camden. She has a master’s degree in counseling from Henderson State University and a master’s degree in education from Southern Arkansas University. Lavana has special training in Play Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. She enjoys working with people of all ages and also enjoys doing grief counseling. Lavana has had private practices in both Arkansas and Colorado. Lavana has many passions, some of which include gardening, cooking and entertaining, playing musical instruments, and traveling.
